A gentleman contacted me, asking me if I knew anything about his great grandfather and aunt’s adoption. A very distant cousin had adopted two children. The adoption occurred when his grandfather and aunt were children, they were told that the parents died in a car accident. Both a grandchild of the adopted boy and a daughter of the adopted girl were DNA tested. Data did not reveal close matches but combined with the genealogy info, I was able to identify the bio parents. Sadly, they died when their car was hit by a streetcar in downtown Kansas City in June of 1928. A Newspaper article included photos of the parents and the children (orphaned from the car wreck) described a lot. The clients now had a bio family tree chart going back 5 generations and an understanding about their Grandparents/Great Grandparents whose lives were cut short in a tragic accident.
