Cousins in South Africa

Cape Madona in old town of Piran in Slovenia

Traditional search with no DNA data

The request was to identify any children born to the client’s already deceased uncle. The uncle was fully identified, but his disconnect with the family at a certain point in time created a desire to search out any possible first cousins the client may have. Working with a family rumor that uncle had a wife and child that he abandoned in Cape Town South Africa. The uncle was born and died in Scotland. Using Ships  Passenger lists I was able to locate the timeline of the uncle and his family coming and going to Canada, America, and South Africa over several decades. I located two, already deceased, children and a wife. The client was thrilled to know more about her uncle, aunt, and 2 cousins.
